This activity will naturally follow on from the make your own perfume activity, where the children will have had experience looking at different parts of plants and flowers when snipping them up and the colour a plant activity where they look at how flowers absorb water through the stem.
Any plant with large parts always works very well, such as lily, Iris or Daffodil.
Encourage your child to pull each part off rather than cut. They will need to be gentle and patient as they do this as they see how each of the parts connect to the other
