Professor Lee
Hello, I’m Lee and I’m really proud to bring Mini Professors to families across Weymouth and Dorchester. I’ve been part of the WOW World Group since 2010, running Baby Sensory and Mini Professors in the Oxford and Reading area and supporting a brilliant team of practitioners across my wider region. But when I moved back home to Weymouth, I realised how much I missed being in the classroom myself. I missed the noise, the questions, the excitement and the “wow” moments that only happen when children discover something for the very first time.
Science has always been my thing. Not the scary, textbook kind, but the everyday kind that makes children curious, confident and eager to explore the world. I love showing little ones that science isn’t something to fear, it is something to play with, to test out, to question and to enjoy. Watching a child light up when something suddenly makes sense is honestly the best part of my job.
As Mini Professors has grown here, something has become even clearer to me. The earlier children experience science in the right way, the bigger the impact it has on their confidence and learning. That is why 2026 is very much my year for getting into more schools and nurseries. I want every child, not just the ones who can come to classes, to have the chance to explore, experiment and feel proud of what they can do. Working alongside teachers and early years teams means we can bring science to life in a way that fits perfectly with what children are already learning.
I’m a mum of two, a wife of one and someone who genuinely loves life, learning and working with families. Whether your child joins me at the WOW Centre or I come into their school or nursery, they will always be welcomed, encouraged and supported… and they will always come home with something to talk about.
Professor Lisa
I am delighted to be part of bringing this fantastic, fun and educational Mini Professors science programme to Weymouth and Dorchester.
I have been a hairdresser for many years, but over time I have found myself more and more drawn to supporting children, young people and parents through challenging times. I now coach and mentor families, specialising in special educational needs, and this work has become a huge passion of mine.
It was while helping Lee ensure our sessions were fully inclusive for SEN children that I first discovered Mini Professors. I arrived to observe for an hour so I could offer feedback on the environment, and ended up staying all day because the children’s excitement for science was infectious. Their questions and pure enthusiasm completely pulled me in.
After chatting with Lee and observing a few more sessions, I decided to train with the WOW Group and I am so pleased I did. The training was honestly the most enjoyable programme I have ever taken part in and I am thrilled to now be running my own classes as a Mini Professors Class Leader.
I am a mum of two grown up children, and while I do quietly wish for grandchildren one day, working with these little scientists absolutely fills that space for now. Creating a calm, supportive and inclusive environment for every child is incredibly important to me, and I cannot wait to meet your budding young explorers.
And yes, the children do get to wear their own little lab coat. Sadly not the grown ups, but I promise the magic is still there.

I’ve always seen science as a kind of magic, from the sparkle of the stars to the thrill of experiments. That wonder led me to study Astronomy in my 20s. Later, I trained as a primary school teacher with a specialism in science and went on to lead the subject in school, sharing my enthusiasm with countless curious minds.
When I began home educating, I joined a Mini Professors class with my son and we were hooked from the very first session! So when the opportunity came to become part of Mini Professors myself, I leapt at it.
For me, teaching is pure joy: sparking curiosity, watching children’s eyes light up as they grasp new ideas, and learning just as much from them in return. Science is an adventure we get to explore together, and I love every moment of it.
