Mini Professors West Fife and Kinross

Hannah Nisbet

A qualified Primary School Teacher and a full time mummy to Alice aged 5, Hannah has always had a passion for science. Hannah worked in a local aquarium for seven years and developed a love of marine biology and the natural world. Providing daily classroom sessions and learning experiences, led Hannah to study for her teaching degree at Edinburgh University. She began working as a primary teacher for Fife Council in 2013. Here she gained further science teaching experience with SSERC (Scottish Schools Education Research Centre) and became a leader of science development in school. Hannah still occasionally works as a supply teacher. In 2017, Hannah took some time to have her little girl and enjoyed both Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense classes where she discovered the opportunity to join Mini Professors as a class leader! Her dream job!! She also works part-time as a Science Educator for a local STEM Charity - ASSET. Hannah loves going swimming with her daughter, music (you might see her ukulele skills in class), playing Xbox in her free time with her husband and playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends!

Louise Sfictos

A self-confessed nerd and mother of two not-so-mini professors, Louise has always loved learning from a young age and would pester her parents and teachers with endless questions, needing to know the how and why to everything! This led her to study social sciences, while also volunteering as a teacher’s assistant. This grew her love of helping children learn. She has a great enthusiasm for learning through play and fun activities. When Hannah started Mini Professors and asked her to help out it was the perfect opportunity for Louise, mixing her love of learning and working with children. When not being a Professor or a Mum, she spends her time drawing, reading and playing table top games with her friends. I'm sure you will agree she is a fantastic addition to the team and does an amazing job running classes and parties!
